This lesson was on using raster tools within ArcGIS such as Raster Datasets, Aggregate, Raster Calculator, Focal Statistics, Reclassify, Slope, Weighted Overlay, and Least-Cost Path with a focus on using ModelBuilder to create reproducible workflows.
This workshop by Jonathon A. Kemp provided me with my fundamental understanding of open-source options for GIS such as *QGIS*, *Leaflet* (web mapping API), and *MapBox* (customizable base map service).
This course covered the theory of remote sensing, platforms, and image analysis techniques in ENVI including classification, spectral analysis, change detection, PCA, and image segmentation using Orfeo and R. We also analyzed LIDAR using USGS FUSION and sUAS structure-from-motion data using Agisoft Photoscan and ArcMap.
This lesson a cumulative application of the skills we developed in this course. We used data from the GESC to develop products from.
GIS Modeling of Climate Change Impacts on Q.
In this lesson, I learned how to download Census.gov data and format tabular demographic data to my needs. We applied Table Joins from the tabular data to our geographic data and used the Field Calculator to calculate new fields as necessary.
This lesson was designed to explore distortions of distance and area by different projections, examining geospatial metadata, customizing a projection for a map, and using geoprocessing tools to identify features within a specified distance of some other feature.
